Ground Transportation - SNU

Here are the ground transportation options available at the SANTA CLARA Abel Santamaria International Airport (SNU) in Cuba:

Chartered Shuttle bus:

Most travelers arriving in Santa Clara by air already have the transfers pre-arranged by a tour operator and included in their vacation package. If it's your case, then when you exit the terminal you will be greeted by your Tour Operator representative who will show you which shuttle bus to board for the transfer to your hotel.

Taxi:

Taxis are available in front of the Arrivals building. A taxi ride from the airport to Cayo Santa Maria/Ensenachos/Las Brujas hotels takes aproximately 90 minutes and costs approximately 50-60 USD. Always agree the fare first.

Public Buses:

There’s no VIAZUL bus service or any other public bus station at the Santa Clara Airport but there's a VIAZUL station in Santa Cara city, reachable by taxi (20 min.). VIAZUL buses go everywhere in Cuba, including now the "Cayos de Villa Clara" (Cayo Santa Maria, Cayo Ensenachos, Cayo Las Brujas).

Car Rental:

Cubacar, Rex Rent-a-Car, Havanautos, and Via Rent-a-Car Transgaviota.
Booking in advance is recommended, especially during the high season when the demand for rental cars often exceeds the supply. Prices vary from approximately 50 to 125 USD per day depending on car category and time of year. Insurance is mandatory and usually costs 15 USD per day.
